Audio best practices

The clearest speech feed produces the strongest live caption and translation result.

• Take speech directly from the church sound desk when possible.
• Use a dedicated interface or stable input connection to the Windows computer.
• Keep speech strong and clear without clipping or distortion.
• Use close, consistent microphone technique.
• Select the input actually carrying speech before starting.
• Choose the correct Speaker Language.
• Keep music and unnecessary room sound out of the speech feed where possible.
• Expect overlapping speakers, strong reverberation and singing to be harder to recognise than one clear voice.
